Two high school chums discovered a mutual love for singing Beatle songs in harmony during a friends summer pool party. Later that Fall of 1983 the two, joined by another two musician friends, played onstage for the first time calling themselves St. John's Alliance. While most of the live bands playing at the time wore spandex, poodle-style haircuts and screamed cover versions of Journey and April Wine, these kids were more at home wearing early 60's brit-inspired fashion and crooning pretty songs of love and happiness. Although the ride was short lived due to an impatient frontman who along with his co-writer wanted to be the next Fab Four, the experience of a St. John's Alliance show was full of innocence, honesty, lots of beer and smokes, good-looking girls dancing before the band on the dance floor.
