Add flawless technical prowess, and the deal is sealed: this is new, graceful pop/rock for those with a passion for music and its respective intricacies. The simple. sound features the layered, borderline-haunting guitar work of Stacy Parrish and Daniel Prevett. Drummer Jeff Romaniuk and bassist Joe Anderson provide solid backing for this power quartet. Parrish's vocals are emotively rich, and range from a tender near-falsetto to a declarative boom. They've been compared to everyone from Coldplay to the Church, but other than fragmented moments of recollection, theirs is an incomparable sound. The group's new release, "In Perfect Disarray," offers 10 tracks of subtle intensity. It tricks you, this album. Each song begins with a pleasant, intriguing sound; before you know it, you're enveloped in fat, sonic rock. It bats its eyes at you then kicks your ass; quite an exhilarating experience. Their laid-back, yet commanding presence on-stage draws fans into a dreamy realm. With a live set so tight, simple. make it screamingly obvious they're no strangers to their instruments.
