Recorded 1997. Composed 1995> I call it organic because the drummer (Tony Curcija) was very inspired from my demo tapes of the songs. Because of that, Toronto guitarist; Bruce Dies and bassist; Peter Culbertson added the right spark, so it came out as envisioned....rehearsed, recorded and mixed at Hitzone and Phase One Studios in Toronto. The last two tracks originated from my first studio here in Ottawa, Canada. The late Mp3.com site went nuts over track No.10 when it was up there...and track No.1 was featured in the R. Dangerfield movie "My Five Wives", go figure.

My main artisitic influences in order were The Beatles, Emerson Lake and Palmer, assorted Jazz/Rock 70's fusion records, Stevie Wonder then Steely Dan...from there Elton John, Steve Winwood, then more recently Mark Knopfer, Sheryl Crow, Macy Gray and a few younger singer/songwriters like Michele Branch and John Mayer...and of course there are always those one/two hit wonders that influenced you and had an impact.

I now have various songs posted at www.murraysoehn.com

For the future I'm hopefull for an explosion of 100s of genre specific Internet radio stations broadcasting everywhere! to support the thriving on-line music industry.
