Gravity Engine is Brad Wilcox, who currently calls the sprawling metropolis of Los Angeles home. With a wide range of influences including Grant Lee Phillips, Wilco, Pixies, Tom Waits, Jeff Buckley and more, Wilcox has claimed the name Gravity Engine to cover his multitude of expressions, the thread that ties it all together being the gravity of the songs, the urgency and the weightiness of topic. Not all serious though, there are moments of weightlessness and humor as well. The thoughtful lyrical content, lovingly crafted by Wilcox, is a poetic companion to the melodic diversity of the music, which is sprinkled with rock, folk, country and even elements of jazz.

"hydrazine morning" is Gravity Engine's debut and explores such topics as living in L.A., vampirism, and the absurdity of politics. Hydrazine is a chemical compound used in rocket fuel, essential for lift-off.
