Veterans of the independent music scene, the band traces its origins to a body of work that leader Jean-Paul Saari started soon after graduating from U.C. Berkeley. He was joined in 1993 by longtime friend Erika Larsson. Saari's compositions required lush, layered guitars and Erika's secondary guitar was a perfect compliment to Jean-Paul's. The band was sought out by Grammy hit vocalist Terri Nunn, who offered the band the opportunity to tour as Berlin. Though honored and flattered, the sound emoting from Saari's and Larsson's guitars was nothing like Berlin, and the group chose to maintain its unique identity. The next three years showcased a band in transition, its membership varying from 3 to 7 members, and ultimately a duo, as Erika took over as lead singer. The pair invited Andrew Bronstein to play bass in the group in November 1996,and the next incarnation of FOX-GLOVE BELL was born. The year and a half that it took to record PANTHEON challenged the group. The release of PANTHEON was followed by memorable live performances in San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, and a legendary coup at Los Angeles' Martini Lounge where the band was actually removed from the stage, despite a fanatical reception from the crowd. The group was also featured in radio performances and interviews throughout the Midwest.

The band acrimoniously split in 2003, and Jean-Paul Saari went on to produce the incredible "aa" projects, producing the eponymous first release at Fantasy Studios. Saari is currently working on three national projects, which he hopes to see released in 2006 and 2007.
