"A Serious Conversation" is an insightful and honest look at life, with a balanced yet powerful sound. Melodic yet grounded in guitars, "A Serious Conversation" has its sound roots in British Rock, from the sounds of the British Invasion, Shoegaze and the early britpop of the 90's. Melodic yet powerful, common influences are British bands like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Oasis, Blur, Radiohead or Coldplay to name a few. In fact, the sound of AltSpeak successfully takes off where the most memorable sound of britpop left off and it blends with traditional songwriting inspired in the early eras of pop and rock. Guests of honor in the recording of the album were Matt Brown (Trespassers William, Nettwerk) and Will Hallauer (The Turn Ons, ChildStar). The band owes its name to George Orwell's 1984, and the album title to first verse of the 6th track "Living In Your Dreams" that goes "If a Serious Conversation has lies and accusations, do you?"
