Fronted by Jason Orm (guitarist for Alanis Morissette) and Aditya Rao, TURNSTILE's sound combines the melodic sensibility of the great songwriting bands with a modern-rock edge: Thoughtful lyrics, good beats, and interesting musical arrangements all work together to create a unique style which is strangely familiar.

After performing throughout Hollywood and Southern California, Turnstile took a break in spring of 2001 to record its first LP for Splendid Recordings. Drawing from a cache of nearly 25 songs, they chose the twelve tunes which now appear on their debut effort, "Something New".

Featured tracks include "Dead Remedy", "Something New", and "Over"-- but every song is distinctively likable. In fact, MTV recently used several tracks from the record for use on "Real World", "Road Rules", and "Flipped".

If you're tired of boring modern rock--- try this album. This is the real stuff.
