The Pets are from Steinbach, Manitoba. This is their story. Completely unheralded, this 72 minute CDR landed at two campus radio stations in the city of Winnipeg. Stumbled upon by unsuspecting DJs, the CDR soon spread from show to show, day to day, DJ to DJ, soon landing number 1 spots at both campus stations. The Pets (now defunct) are Myron, Matt, Chris, and Steve. They specialize in pop epics and collage. Love and War is a freakishly brilliant, well constructed pop opus that engages the listener from the first minute to the very last. Layers upon layers of vocals, guitars, organ, piano and samples. Matt and Steve now form one-half of the Waking Eyes, who recently signed with Coalition/Warner. Their new single "Watch Your Money" is currently burning up the charts.
