Emerging from Princeton Theological Seminary, a burgeoning community of would-be pastors, professors, and heretics, is Theory of Racquetball, the (self-proclaimed) "world's greatest theological rock band". Formed in the fall of 2001, the band has played shows in the Princeton area, and recently finished recording their 10-song debut album on the New Jersey label Jerk Records. While these four young scholars haven't yet developed a working theory of the world's greatest sport, they have given the problem over to Princeton's top scientists, so that they can devote more time to rocking out, and I mean hard. So what does this "rocking out" entail? Think of a piping hot bowl of stew, where a dash of Pedro the Lion and a cup of The Velvet Underground are blended well with a pinch of the MC5 and a teaspoon of The Ramones. Now think about that bowl of stew dumped on your head, and the cold shower that you would take to relieve the burning sensation. That's Theory of Racquetball. They're not just the future of the Church, they're the future of Rock. Check out the artist's website: http://www.theoryofracquetball.com Track List: 1. Tristram Shandy's Unfinished Autobiography 2.
