Amsterdam from "Soul On Fire" was awarded 1st place in the Billboard Song Contest.

Once you hear Jenny Bruce's album "Soul On Fire" you'll feel like you know her or at least that you want to know her. The songs are not confessional, but her vocal delivery is so immediate and warm that you can't help feeling that she's singing to you. Bruce's lyrics are wise and artful without being heavy-handed or preachy. It's obvious this woman has loved and lost, lived and learned to laugh at it all. Beautiful, well-crafted melodies draped over Kevin Bent's (Spin Doctors) masterful production. This is one of the most powerful and compelling albums released in 2001 by any artist.
