Rock & roll never dies. It does; however, seem to take a sabbatical from time to time. After enduring the onslaught in the late nineties of the rap/hardcore mini-revolution, familiar classic rock & roll sounds have mercifully returned. Boy bands and bubblegum pop stars not withstanding, melodic/old school rock & roll seems to be prospering nowadays. Bands like Radiohead, Weezer, and Stone Temple Pilots are carrying the proverbial classic rock torch by imprinting it with their own style and throwing in a few twists. Hi-Fi Sister is a new band that is continuing this trend. Hi-Fi Sister's classic rock influences seamlessly pervade their music, the group's songs convey a new hipness and stylistic flair that give them their own niche in today's rock & roll landscape. Geoff Livingston of Beach Magazine has commented "Hi-Fi Sister could really be South Florida's next surprise, with a 70's style of music and a fresh uplifting alternative pop sound. Hi-Fi Sister's music is instantly recognizable and provides a nice change of pace for listeners inundated with the generic lead vocal sound encountered in much of today's music. Their songs are driven by a combination of big guitars and well crafted melodies and harmonies that defy the norm in today's rock & roll circles. Hi-Fi Sister's songs are deliberately kept to roughly 3:00 minutes for a very good reason: never bore your audience and leave them with memorable hooks that they will be humming for days.
