Energy filled, eclectic contemporary - Solpatch attracts clever audiences that are as varied as their music. Not to be lumped within the average templated schtick, Solpatch fits into many musical angles - rock, funk, metal, hip-hop, jazz, and blues. Driven by the solid songwriting and funky guitar chops of Nicholas Johnson, Solpatch has an energetic sound that's bolstered by Loren Valley's harmony vocals and rhythmic percussion, Dan Potvins pumping bass and vocals and David Kraus' dead-on drumming. The band displays a host of influences that range from funk to rap and soul to hard rock as they pound out each song in neat little packages for the listener to unravel. You won't find any filler on this six song collection, just a handful of finely penned, well recorded numbers sure to put some rhythm in your step.
