SLYDE AUDIO MIND(S.A.M.), is mainly the combination of two creative minds Steve Brady and Patrick Joseph Maloney, along with a few of our friends. They have been writing music together for the past 8 years. The music is a combination of several different styles of music like Funk, Rock, Reggae, African, Latin, etc. S.A.M. doesn't limit itself to just one type of music. They believe that in order to reach a multi cultural society, the music needs to be multi cultural as well. Steve Brady, who composes most of the music, also plays several instruments on their new release N2D Groove. Steve was also the main force behind the production and engineering of the project - mixing and mastering the album in his home studio for a true grass roots production. Patrick Joseph Maloney(AKA Slyde) is the lyricist, song writer and lead vocalist. Patrick got his nickname fronting a 70's funk band(Groove Juicy) that he and Steve played in. Together they have performed almost every style of music and in far too many bands to mention here. Patrick's diversity also includes experience in dance, theater, film, commercial voice-over, and print work. Both of these guys are also into spiritual and physical fitness(Patrick is a maniac..;); as well natural foods, the environment, and the raising of consciousness in our society. This is the main message they try to portray through their song lyrics. Patrick was born in NYC, and moved to California where he met up with Steve in Santa Rosa in 1993. Patrick played in several bands before then, one of them being OUNOU who were quite popular in the Bay Area. Patrick used the idea to start his own clothing line - "OUNOU Like It" surf wear. Steve was born in Chicago, but at age six moved to a spiritual community in Tennessee called "The Farm" with his family. The Farm has a rich tradition in music, and Steve was fortunate enough to start learning to play the guitar at age seven. The Farm also has their own radio station, and the kids there are exposed to a wide variety of music at a young age. There have been many great bands to come out of The Farm; and each age group of kids coming up seems to get better and better. Steve still stays in contact with The Farm(his mother Mary Ellen still lives there) and everyone in the extended Farm family. We hope you enjoy the music; and thank you in advance for any support and/or promotion of our music. Namaste... Check out the artist's website: http://www.sonic.net/~zmon/ Track List: 1.
