Sleepyhead is a band rooted in the hills and hollows of Appalachia but not confined by them. In an aural atmosphere dominated by unique and original pedal steel guitar playing and homespun piano but which also includes banjo, electric guitar and sampled sounds is told a tale of angels and devils, a celestial yarn stretching from deep space, through a small Ohio town into the darkest heart of humanity. The angelic singing of Mimi Hart, who has recorded and performed with the Allman Brothers, and the powerful vocals and imaginative voices of J.D. Hutchison, illustrious S.E. Ohio songwriter and raconteur complete this "intense and inventive" musical offering.
