PiNKSTON, formed in 1999, are a relatively new band of seasoned veterans. Drummer Ben Burt spent several years touring and recording with Brutal Juice (Interscope Records) and singer/bassist Beth Lewis was formerly in art-noise combo rubberbullet. Guitarists Josh Daugherty and Ean Parsons round out the quartet.

"It would be more accurate to refer to Pinkston as a new machine built from familiar parts, the same car with a bigger engine and better stereo." Dallas Observer

Pinkston's poppy hooks are infused with moody guitar textures and underscored by a beefy rhythm section. Lewis' sexy vocals and Burt's aggressive but beautiful harmonies soar above the driving melodies.

"Beth Clardy Lewis has the type of brooding, tough-girl vocals it is so easy to fall in love with. She sounds like a former tattooed punk girl that has grown up into an accidental rock siren, with an equal propensity for powerful intensity and shimmeringly pretty pop melodies. " AllMusic.com

In the past year and a half, Pinkston has shared the stage with such national acts as The Toadies, Blonde Red-head, Michelle Gun Elephant (Japan), and the Promise Ring.

"It is pop music that took a spin into space, happened upon Beach Boys harmonies, decided rock & roll was where it's at, and landed back on earth as a curiously compelling mutant that retains all of its sing along appeal but also a mysterious potency. "AllMusic.com

PiNKSTON is currently working on a full length record, to be released in summer 2001 by Last Beat Records.
