Luck Money is a band that found its niche in the classic Celtic tradition of Ireland.

Fiddles, whistles, mandolin, guitar, bouzouki, tenor banjo, bodhran and vocals combine with a modern approach to arrangement and style played by four musicians bound together by an affinity for playing the tunes they have come to love best -- jegs, slip jigs, good old-fashioned reels, hornpipes and rowdy (or at least bawdy) songs.

The four members of the band have over 100 years of collective musical experience, and began playing together in 1994. The name of the band derives from an old Irish custom in which merchants handing back a coin or two from payment for goods or services in the hope of continuing prosperity and good fortune. Wouldn't it be nice if the tax collector did that?
