Jallen Rix is one of those rare composing performers who can send a song right where you feel it the most. He digs deep for a balance between art and meaning. Listeners become friends as Jallen plays the piano and sings honest and vulnerable lyrics. Jallen started playing piano before his feet could reach the floor from the stool. Growing up going to church gave him plenty of opportunity to get his musical feet wet. He was composing by high school and made it his degree in college. With that under his belt, Jallen began a career writing and performing in hundreds of locations across the U.S. He has released four self-produced recordings in his career, with his last recording, The Sacred and the Queer gathering national recognition including three GLAMA nominations for debut artist, best male artist, and album of the year.
