Green Sky Grey's has been attacking the Columbus, OH. music scene since they were formed in 1997. Their musical message continues to spread to a growing number of fans, not only in Columbus, but throughout the state.

In February of 1999, the self-titled debut album was released on their own Poor Boy Records. The sophomore follow-up, "Walking Blind", was released January 2001 and maintains the positive momentum and buzz that has already begun. The CD release party was held at the legendary Newport Music Hall, with over 500 fans in attendance.
In addition to the release of two CDs, career highlights include sharing stages with national acts such as 38 Special, Robin Trower, Marshal Tucker Band, and King's X. GSG has also warmed the crowds for the Eagles concert pre-party outside the Schottenstein's Arena and pre-game/half time show for the Major League Lacrosse 2002 Championship at the Crew Stadium. Several tracks from both CDs have acquired airplay on Columbus' 99.7 WBZX, 101.1 WWCD, and 96.3 WLVQ. Ohio University's WOSB and Ohio Wesleyan's WSLN, nearby college radio stations, also included GSG in their play lists. GSG did their part for the community by taking the stage to benefit the Vietnam Veterans of America as well as Aids Walk 2000 and 2001.

GSG's focus on their goal of establishing themselves as the Midwest's premier young rock band remains strong. With an eye toward breaking onto the national scene, their emphasis on strong songwriting, powerful live performances, and an overall passion for music is undeniable.

Green Sky Grey's all original music has a rock base with a healthy dose of memorable pop hooks. With the current musical climate overflowing with uninspired hip-hop clichés, bubblegum boy-bands and rap-metal misfits, the eclectic combination of driving rock guitar, powerful grooves, passionate vocals and memorable hook-laden songs has proven to be a breath of fresh air.
