In January of 1999, 11 independent artists who at the time had never met one another came together through the use of the internet and the IndieBiz mailing list to create a compilation of their favorite R.E.M. songs. What you have here is the result... 10 months later. The artists were encouraged to pick the REM songs of their choice and record them using whatever means possible. For some this was done by utilizing a home project studio, for others it meant a trip to their local studio. The individual songs were compiled and mastered at 3rd Story Recording (Paula Cole) in Philadelphia by Mark Sir Risky. The results are amazing. The material on the disc ranges from the Athens, GA supergroup's earliest days with Radio Free Europe from their first full length release Murmur in 1983 all the way through their latest release UP from 1999 and just about everything in between. While not all of their selections were hits for R.E.M. they all hold a special meaning. We hope you enjoy listening to this CD as much as they enjoyed creating it for you Check out the artist's website: http://www.fattonymusic.com Track List: 1. Exhuming McCarthy - Hubbard's Cupboard 2.
