Together since 1999, Unknown Reason performs primarily cover songs in various Cleveland area establishments but includes several original selections throughout each performance. The band also performs all-original shows at public library "music series" programs as well as house concerts.

Ostrander, the band's primary singer/songwriter, has been penning, recording and performing original compositions since 1980. The subject matter of his eclectic creations ranges from relationship songs to coping/perseverance tunes to life songs.

Banham steps forward as the band's lead guitarist, offering tasty, melodic and intelligent riffs to each song. From the mid 1980s until the formation of Unknown Reason, Banham and Ostrander performed as an acoustic guitar duo in area restaurants, coffeehouses and taverns.

Drummer/percussionist, Eddy, along with bassist, Thompson, provide fine harmonies and a tight foundation. Both individuals are music veterans having performed in blues, country, folk, rock and alternative bands since the late 1970s.
