POWERSLIDE was a Los Angeles powerpop band that was built on frustration. Session/Touring drummer Marc Danzeisen (Riverdogs,Gilby Clarke,Agent Orange,Little Caesar etc) was tired of being the whipping boy after 20 something years. So after the last tour in 1995 he decided to record a CD of songs.
After spending 4 months behind closed doors at a friends studio, Marc put together a band with a few close friends, Mark Comstock on bass and Chris Skane on guitar. For Marc, the easy part was recording the CD alone, but now he was going to have to front a band AND play drums.

POWERSLIDE was a great band to see live, a huge wall of sound for a three piece and quite animated. The POWERSLIDE 'peel' CD sold very well from the trunk of cars and online (approx 1,300 CD's)and has turned into a 'pop band to remember' around LA.

Marc Danzeisen has a solo CD "absorbent" available in the same pop style as POWERSLIDE.
