Kyf Brewer & his backup band of three rock out with some serious pop/rock 70s influence, using everything from guitars to bagpipes.

The songs are predominantly written by kyf with guitarist jumpin' dave, and every song on here could be a single.

Kyf says the biggest criticism he gets from the big labels is that his big song style is all over the place, even though this seems to have worked for him in the placement of his stuff in such popular shows as Fox's Party of Five, WB's Dawson's Creek, ABC's Odd Man Out, the syndicated Baywatch, Jack and Jill, and others.

Kyf's vocal style has been compared to Jagger, Lennon, Petty, & Elvis Costello. He's also the voice of VH1's Before They Were Rock Stars, and has appeared in various films & TV shows, including NBC's Homicide and John Waters' Serial Mom. All over the place indeed!

Rumour has it that Fountains of Wayne heard "Mother of Jocelyn" on tour and swiped it to write "Stacy's Mom". But hey, I can't back that up. You be the judge. copyright 1998.
