2004; After playing guitar and singing in several different cover and original bands in the Boston area over the last 17 years, 33 year old Chris Bianchi decided to go out and buy some home studio equipment and record a CD that he could truly call his own. All ten songs on the Space and Time CD are written, performed and produced by Chris and prominently feature his versitile guitar playing, which is heavily inspired by the guitar rock gods of the 60's and 70's. But heavy riffs and tasty licks are not just what this CD is all about. "I wanted to really push myself to write real songs that featured not just the guitar, but real harmony and melody. After all, the best songs are the ones that trigger some emotional response in us. And though a perfectly voiced guitar solo can certainly trigger that emotion, there are many other aspects that I focused on to draw in the listener to this CD." Many of those other aspects are drawn from his love of the great singer/songwriters of the last 40 years."I just can't get enough of the Beatles and Elton John. Listening to their music is like taking a course in songwriting 101." Perhaps the most impressive achievement of this CD is that each song has it's own personality. From Led Zeppelin to REM, there is a wide variety of influences on this CD that any music fan will love."I think there's something on this CD for everybody. The thought of someone somewhere listening to my CD and digging it is a real thrill. Its what motivates me to keep writing." In 2002, Chris's friend Joseph who is a regular boardmember of the rock band Whitesnake's web site www.whitesnake.com sent David Coverdale a CD of Chris's playing in hope of joining the new band he was forming. After listening to the CD, David sounded extremely impressed, stating "Joseph...I just checked out Mr. Bianchi...I see what you mean...Excellent player!!!" Chris can currently be seen playing in the Boston area with a couple of different bands, including an Aerosmith tribute band.
