This album continues Ben's fascination with the past. Following on from Ben Reece's first solo album 'Sounds of Pleasure', he relentlessly turns out melodies that you can't help remembering and feel that they would fit any decade over the past 30 years.

Admitting to being a 'thirty something man of the world', Ben's lyrics continue to inspire, whilst the musical arrangements add a sense of unique honesty to each and every song.

Unlike his first album 'Sounds of Pleasure', Ben describes this latest release as being 'more rock band like....with a more defined sense of musical direction.' Indeed, he even proudly describes himself as more of a 'man of rock' than as a 'man of folk and pop'. 'The Deal' is certainly more defined musically and instrumentally 'harder' than Ben's first album, and with this latest release, he certainly pushes his vocal talents further than before.
