Here are reviews for some of Jan's greatest guitar instrumentals from the 60s and 70s, found on this new CD, Jan Davis - Guitar Legacy! You'll hear him playing his heart out on this collection of Rock, Pop and Surf at it's very best!

FUGITIVE - MID 60's
What you get... One of Jan's best from 1964 puts baying hound dogs chasing this poor slob who didn't commit the crime and Jan paints the feel, so You, the audience, knows it and are rooting for his escape. Jan's driving guitar tells the story.

BULLFIGHT SONG (Virgin de la Macarenas) - MID 60's
What you get... This Spanish classic standard was (and still is) played primarily by philharmonic and symphony orchestras all over the world. But, leave it to Jan Davis to funk it up and get down with his own brand of Rock/Surf guitar and a straight, driving beat. It's like butter!

MALAGUENA - EARLY 60's
What you get... Talk about your Spanish standards! It's the #1 most requested Spanish tune in the world and Davis has recorded several versions. This was his FIRST and always a favorite with his fans.

WALK, DON'T RUN - EARLY 70's
What you get... This particular 'plate' has been done to death, or overcooked, by being played often by most instrumental groups. So Davis figuered he may as well cook up something a little 'off-flavored' and it's done with his Flamenco/Rock style.
