The album, "Radha Madhava" is a journey to a reflective and purifying place where the individual can find solace and peace from the transcendental sound vibrations. It is meant to transport the listener beyond the realm of everyday life. "Radha Madava" is a fusion of the musical styles from the international recording artists Prabhu Das and the group Leaving footprints. Influenced by the sounds of nature, the romantic Kundimans of Luzon, jazz and ancient yoga Kirtans of India, "Radha Madava" is a inspiring and creative collaboration. Prabhu das performed at the prestigious Tokyo Music Festival Budokan Hall in Japan (4,000 to 5,000 people), as the lead singer with the Circus Band. He was also one of the first western singers to perform before sold-out audiences in the concert halls of Beijing, Red China (3,000 to 4,000 people per concert show) with the Morning Sun Band, in concerts that were televised nationwide throughout China before a half a billion captivated viewers. He has also performed throughout the concert halls of the Philippines, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and the United States, including the Araneta Coliseum, the Folk Arts Theatre, the Miss Asia Pageant, the Hyatt Regency Hotel, and the Aznar Coliseum. Prabhu das has also released several albums, notably smash hits such as Kung Sakali and Mahal (Polydor/Dyna Records); Haribol (RCA/Victor Records); two best-selling hit albums with Circus Band Manila: Circus Live and Consciousness III (RCA/VICTOR) ; The Adventures of Govinda (Little Cowherdboy Records) and his New Age album, Winds of Fire (Condor Classics), both released in the United States. Prabhu das has also recorded with Harvey Mason and was a drummer for George Benson at the Dawn Breaker Studios in California in 1979. Under the pen name Pablo Dadivas, Prabhu das has also published 3 collections of original poetry: Anak Araw, Mother Sun, and Heart of the Lotus, which are now in the libraries of Yale University, Cornell University and the Library of Congress. Prabhu das began the study of Yoga in 1975 and started giving classes (15) years ago. He also holds classes on the ancient Yoga texts, Bhagavad Gita and Sri Isopanisad, both in Manhattan and New Jersey. An accomplished singer/ songwriter/ musician, Prabhu das’ latest CD, Journey to the Heart, has been released by Tower Records, and is available at Amazon.com and Best Buy. The music is based on the captivating sound of New Age style acoustic guitar melodies that have harmonic interplay with piano, strings, soprano saxophone, muted trumpet, voices and world percussion instruments. Subtly added to this lush musical foundation are the occasional natural sounds of birds, waves and rainforest wildlife. The compositions were inspired by the natural harmonies that exists within nature's elements, and our own interpersonal connections, conveyed through sound and music. The Leaving Footprints collection is produced and written by the team of internationally acclaimed guitarist/composer Jim Savitt and guitarist/composer Rob Rolling. It features the talents of an acclaimed team of musicians set in a state-of-the-art digital audio production environment. Jim Savitt is an internationally acclaimed artist whose contemporary Jazz release Hear & Now has received global airplay. Savitt has performed internationally, opened for Grammy nominee Boney James and works extensively with Afro pop artist Alain Nkossi Konda. Rob Rolling is an accomplished composer, bassist and guitarist with a unique fingerstyle approach. Savitt/Rolling have been performing and recording as an acoustic duo since 1995. The music is currently being used by bodywork professionals as a unique musical backdrop for massage therapy, spa treatments and meditations. It is also a perfect mood setting piece for personal relaxation and solitude.
