After many years in the mainstream music ´business´  as a performer, composer, producer, studio and label manager - Meru is now focusing on music, particularly the voice, as a force for healing and transformation. ´Spinal Chord´ a CD of chakra healing sounds has recently been released on the Sounds Collective label and he is currently working on an album of chant mantra and song. He has spent valuable time in the company of some of the pioneers in the field of sound healing  Jonathan Goldman, Don Campbell and Trang Quang Hai among others  and has also worked extensively with the Spiritualists National Union exploring the potential of sound to enhance psychic ability and encourage psychic phenomena. He began leading his own workshops four years ago. In workshops he uses overtone and ´deep voice´ undertone singing, drumming and shamanic trance, chakra healing, sound, breath, and silent meditations, chant, mantra and traditional song exploring the potential of the voice to heal and awaken the consciousness of body, mind, and spirit. His first love is live performance and he has been fortunate of late to connect with a group of musicians also wanting to make ´conscious´ music. As ´Spinal Chord´, playing guitars, bass, drums, didgeridoo, Tibetan bowls and bells, gongs, synthesiser, singing overtones and undertones, chanting mantras and singing songs we will be appearing at a number of festivals and gatherings around the UK and mainland Europe this summer.
