SLICE OF LIGHT:
UZCA takes us on a healing journey singing his Spiritual language with his gentle resonant voice. Many of the pieces on this New Age CD create a lush, meditative ambience. Some of the music is based on ancient folk melodies while others are original UZCA compositions. The orchestral flavor is sprinkled with cello, Celtic harp, guitars, penny whistle and varied percussive instruments.

MUSIC REVIEWS:
Steve Ryles, New Age Retailer: "UZCA'S deep, earthy voice reverberates with life delivering 'words from another world' with a sophisticated yet simple style. He sings in his spirit language which is really quite beautiful, with a lilting, flowing quality that I found most enjoyable to listen to, even after repeated listening. Although SLICE OF LIGHT is in a foreign language, with no translation provided, I'm left with a strong sense of happiness, joy, perhaps even a certain spiritual ecstasy. UZCA, with his strong, deep, passionate voice is clearly on to something here, and I wish him a wide audience. He deserves it."

His sound is revolutionary, yet familiar, and pulses with the tones and rhythms of the earth. The ear hears, the eye sees. The heart and soul dance to the radiance of UZCA'S SLICE OF LIGHT.

BIOGRAPHY:
UZCA: Melody and rhythm form a musical dimension beyond the ordinary auditory experience.

UZCA: AKA Rusty Evans, performing his hit single, "Midnight Special" on American Bandstand, the fist of fourteen singles he and his band recorded for major record companies. Jamming with Bob Dylan in Greenwich Village, recording with The New Christy Minstrels, producing "It's a Beautiful Day" and his own albums for Folkways and C.B.S.

UZCA: AKA Marcus Uzilevsky, the visual artist. His works of art can be found world wide in twenty-five permanent museum collections. Creator of the "linear landscapes", he merges mountains, sea and sky with latitudes of color. Originator of the musical manuscripts in his watercolor series, he transforms paint and canvas into an evocation as vibrant as melody in motion.

His art and music merged in 1988 with a performance of his composition "Symphony for Sara" by the Arlington Symphony. His orchestral compositions, enhanced by projected images, combined the best of UZCA'S visual and musical chromatics.
