Ezra R. Williams

Ezra Roszunn Williams was born on October 19, 1986, in the city of Birmingham, AL. Williams is the 4th of four siblings. He was brought up in a little town called Pinson; were he was taught to respect others, as well as his elders. Williams was raised by his mother(Pam Ruff), a single parent who had a lovely talent to sing and write; among other things. Williams’s close family(the Ruffs), were well respected, and very spiritual; teaching him the wrongs and the rights and why.

Williams grew up mentally in the church, sitting of course, but learning new and better things. Singing was indeed, something that he wanted to do; only because he wanted to be as good as his mother. At the age of 5, Ezra’s mother signed him up for the Easter program at their church. Williams did great, and every saint and sinner heard about his wonderful performance. “God has shown more than just words or songs... he’s shown Beauty.” For a few years Williams didn’t sing or anything at church, he mostly took the place of the drummer, and soon became the head drummer at his church.

About seven years later, October 31, 1998, Ezra’s Mother and his Aunt(Tina Ruff), signed him up for a competition; Showtime at Mt. Canaan. Williams won first place, a trophy, and a fifty dollar prize, there was also a chance to perform in Showtime at the Apollo; but unfortunately, the camera man dropped the cam recorder, and that dream gently faded. At the age of 15yrs, Ezra got notice from his uncle(Keith Ruff), that he should look into studio recording; being that his uncle was already in the business himself. Later that year, Williams Started his own production; Chang24 Productions, were he produced his first new release entitled: “My Life.” Not much luck with that, but he did seem to get a better deal with his uncle. Everyone saw Ezra’s true talent for music, but they didn’t think it would get as good as it did.

It took about a year for Williams to really get the hang of it; “It was more than I expected, definitely a lot of controls, combinations, ah... a lot of time and effort. But the whole mixing thing, took about another year to figure out bass and treble; mids and highs. I put all my trust in God, that is the only one that can make or break me. God took the time to give me the wisdom, and at that; that knowledge to...write, sing, teach, communicate, position myself to become something better at what I do.” Williams produced over 70 songs in less than 2yrs. Now he is working on a new cd, as well as looking forward to getting signed by a major label. “My goal is not to be conceited, not to take away from the world; I want to give back, and also show people that anyone, that has a talent should use it to fullest. Don’t hold back for noone, cause only God can take that away from you. I want to let the world know that there is a God; no matter what music you sing or what you do; he is there....”

Ezra is currently 19yrs old, and is looking for places to perform, an act of paying gigs. All information will be provided to contact him.
