When Susan Covey is asked what kind of music she listens to the answer is "many". This debut CD album reflects her eclectic music interest in her composing and playing selections for "Where my heart's been all this time". Susan enjoys working on collaborative projects and is a published poet, writer and artist. Music is one component that stands alone or with other mediums. She recently completed an outdoor festival project of a 75' maze, that turned into a walking labyrinth and evolved into a mandala with participants laying down squares of color to make a shifting pattern. The layout of the project was based on the golden rectangle, related spirals. Susan volunteered in a community middle school to get the students past "math blocks" and able to see the big picture. A special note concerning the cover photography. With song and CD title in hand Susan sought the a photograph to describe her feelings about her compositions. She found this photo (movie fans may recognize Karekare beach, New Zealand) on the web. After an extensive "photographer hunt" 3 continents, she found Andrei Jewell - photographer for the CD cover. The back photo is an unusual view of Chicago by Sylvia Claiborne. Check out the artist's website: http://www.susancovey.com Track List: 1. Bronze Swans 2. Kitchen Tango 3. Unrequited 4.
