This is the second Rock Opera composed by Rob Volpintesta (the first was America the Beautiful, 1995). This recording was released under the pseudonym THORNE, which is the name that Rob records with Sacred Oath and Soundscape under. Iago is the story of Othello, brought to life through an eclectic but primarily prog-metal sound. The story is told through the eyes of the villian Iago, though there are several characters sung by a range of singers (Anthony Mills sings Othello, Rob Volpintesta "Thorne" sings Iago, Angela Parrish is Desdemona).
