Execrator are a multi-blend dark metal band from Newark, Ohio who has been together, under this line-up, for almost 3 years now. Having just finished their sophomore cd "Hideous The Mind", they are working on promoting, selling and playing gigs in support of its release. "Hideous The Mind" is a concept cd about a schizophrenic and the dealings he must face in his dark world, by a character we've created called "Hideous." Martin Popoff of Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles magazine, issue #59, describes Execrator as an absolutely mesmerizing and thoroughly unique combination of doom, early 80s thrash and progressive metal. Execrator further distinguish themselves with the despairing vocals of Matt Maggard, who for the most of this album recalls Warrel Dane and the Messiah. Captivating band!
