Selfmindead Biography they hail from Eskilstuna, Sweden, and are not really musically part of the hardcore / straight edge movement that is so strong in Europe today. Sure they are vegetarians & live a clean life without alcohol & drugs etc but solely sounding sXe??? Neaaahhh... Sure their music is hardcore and they play with bands like ABHINANDA but that doesn't mean they won't play with, say MESHUGGAH. And their music doesn't really fit into any conveniant label. They can sound like a really gritty KORN but they are not that funky. They can sound as angry as REFUSED, but they are too punkrock... And, yeah sure, they won that national Swedish competition twice (which resulted in their debut CD EP) but does that mean they're mainstream?- Don't think so! They are way too varied for being labeled as merely a hardcore outfit, or maybe that's exactly what they are in the words truest sense. Remember when hardcore began in the early eighties it was so that everyone could do their thing, and not stick to one set of rules? And they all come from Finland originally - and who has ever heard of finnish sXe? These twenty-somethings are sure to be around for a long time-they're too original not to! Finncore rules!
