Influenced by more than century-old composers, as well as modern day guitarists and virtuosos (Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, Kim Thayil, John Williams, Jerry Cantrell and John Petrucci) Boyd Scott Kulick attempts to compose songs that open the imagination, and tell a story. Playing for over 20 years, and writing and composing for over 10, Boyd constructs instrumental guitar songs with the intent that none sound the same. "When writing, or composing instrumental music it is important to stay dynamic" he believes, "so as not to bore the listener". The music Boyd composed for 'Marching From Mars' was designed from somewhat of a theatrical standpoint and all stringed instruments are played, as well as each song produced, written, and recorded by him. "I would like to hear some of my songs in tv., movies, or video games one day." Aside from music, Boyd is a chef, helping him to stay creative all of the time. Guitar, however, has always been his first love, and he is currently working on his third record, possibly with vocals, and, of course, more stringed instruments.
