The Absurd Soldier is a New York City artist that uses synthesizers and drum machines to compose songs about life and the times that we live in. Lyrically, this cd is essentially satire; however, hopeful alternatives are interjected amidst the snearing critique of the global spectacle. He is pissed, but he seems to have found a way out. Musically, the disk is rich with synthpop licks reminiscent of Nine Inch Nails Pretty Hate Machine or even Devo blended with metal guitar riffs similar to Nirvana or Janes Addiction and the stylings of Fugazi, Slayer and Marilyn Manson. Without a doubt this is a tight fusion of styles that have dominated the landscape for the last 3 decades. The Absurd Soldier has been composing music and playing instruments since beginning with drums at the age of 4.
