Cruel Memory has a simple plan that works. Two people, no guitarist and hevy FX to give off full sound from just a bassist/vocalist/synth programer and a drummer/vocalist.

Cruel Memory is about the torment of living life and growing up and all the cruel happenings that go on in this world.

Cruel Memory first started with initial line up of Marty Bushway, Jesse Johnson and Jason Polchzinski. Nothing got done besides lots of talk, lyrics and cover art. Cruel Memory's line up changed to Marty, Jesse, and Ryan Fagans. Ryan left later that year and was never replaced. Cruel Memory (Mainly Marty but featured Jesse sometimes) Started recording first demo Error Code: 6. Error Code: 6 distribuited for free at the River Valley Technical Center. Song writing in process over the summer of 2000. Started recording first underground album that fall. In 2003 our first album (The Unknown) was finished and released and so was our second album (Jam Sessions) and our third album (World of Hate). A very rare EP (Hallways of the Soul) was recorded by Marty under the Cruel Memory band name and is barely worth noting. Both band members graguated Springfield High School in Vermont. Jesse bought a drumset and Cruel Memory LIVE started. Played a few shows (9 or so) and started recording a forth album.
The Fourth album is here. Life & Death is the most noteworthy release by the Vermont duo to date. A unique combination of grunge, metal, bass and drums have made this one of the most origional albums out there.
