Star Rats might be a fairly new band but his members are not strangers to the international Hard-Rock scene: bass-player Kass and guitar-player Post (core of this band) used to play in the danish Glam/Street outfit band called Push as well as in the Hard-Rock act DogMob, drummer Braun played for Narita and Prime Time, while Nico was the appreciated frontman for the Metal-monsters Fury as well as hard-rockers Killer Dollar Babies. "Broken Halo" is Star Rats' debut-album and it's a "killer". Powerful Street R'n'R as no other band dared to play since the eponymous Skid Row's debut or its follow-up "Slave To The Grind"; throw into a slice of Motley Crue's best and most guitar-oriented moments and the unique energy of Glam/Street/Punk Rock new kings' Hardcore Superstar and you have the picture. In other words, the band have taken the great melodies and attitude of the unforgettable '80s years and combined with the compact sound of the present Hard-Rock scene. They have amazing rockers like "Days Of New Thunder", "Stars & Lines" or "Wait For Me Valhalla" and still they can touch your hearts with power-ballads as "Enlightenment Years" and "What Doesn't Kill You". And, to top of it all, the cover-artwork speaks for itself; this band does NOT like compromises! After the huge success of The Darkness and Velvet Revolver the world is waiting for the band to finally put Melodic Rock up where is deserved to be; Star Rats might be that band!
