About the band: "a matter Of FAITH" is a band with a decidedly classic rock sound. We come from that era and carry a lot of our influences with us while putting our own twist on them. It has been commented that elements of popular bands from the "Classic Rock" period such as Aerosmith, Santana, Eric Clapton, Lynyrd Skynyrd and others can be heard in our music. If you enjoy music from that period or just like music that rocks you to the bone give us a listen. We can praise God together!!! Originally "a matter Of FAITH" began its musical career in the '80s as a rock band known as Rocker. The band was typical of bands in that era. We played cover tunes and wrote and performed some original material. Playing wherever and whenever we could in hopes of "hitting it big some day". Well life goes on and we all had families and day jobs that turned into careers. Eventually the band disbanded and we went about our lives, but always kept in touch. Along the way some of us got saved. In 1997 a few of us got the desire to play music again more as a creative outlet than anything else. Over the course of a couple months time, as we all talked with other original members of the band we discovered we were all feeling the same desire. To make a long boring story short we added Bill Barr to the lineup and got together playing secular music for awhile. Being family oriented Christians now we discovered this was not what we were collectively seeking. We decided to turn to Christian music and our ministry as the local Christian rock band "The Rock" had begun. As "The Rock" winning a local Christian battle of the bands provided the band the opportunity of opening for "The Waiting" in May of 1998 in Naples Florida as well as doing concerts for youth and singles groups at various churches throughout the local area. After a while we decided to change the name of the band to "a matter Of FAITH" as it had a more personal meaning to us. May God bless you always!
