What began as an experiment in June of 2003 led to the creation of A Different Self. Residing in Towson, MD, the band quickly began writing and practicing at a fast pace in hopes of recognition and survival in a struggling music scene. Coming from a wide variety of musical influences, the three members each bring an original and colorful element to the table. Straying from traditional patterns has become a science that the band exhibits in their music, keeping the listener intrigued to the last beat. In just a short amount of time the band has recorded a 9 song full length EP with producer/engineer Drew Mazurek (Zao, Dog Fashion Disco, Nothingface) and joined forces with Ben Ricciardi of Ruckus SAS for management. The band is currently networking with other bands, both locally and nationally, looking for great opportunities to play out. This year will be a ground breaking year for A Different Self with many more to come.
