Twelfth of Never formed in the autumn of 1997, their original incarnation consisting of Matthew Davis (keyboards, programming, male vocals, acoustic guitar), Keith A. Landry (guitar), Ron Miles (bass), Chris Posco (guitar), and Robin Tinker (voice and recorder). The next several years would see two albums released (Blowing Bubbles Through Broken Windows in 1999, and Things That Were in 2002), numerous live shows in their native New England, and a few band members come and go.
Founding vocalist Robin Tinker was the most recent departing band member in mid-2004, dealing a potentially crippling blow to the band. But Twelfth of Never has rededicated itself, established a new lineup (including founding members Matthew, Ron, and Keith, 2002 addition Dave Brocksmith on 2nd guitar, and the newest members: Victoria Chapman filling Robin's shoes as vocalist, and David Strong playing drums), and has begun working on new material with renewed vigor.
This album (limited to 1000 copies), is the debut self-released disc, with the original lineup. Tracks like "I Shall Not Care," "To Lure the Swans and Flies," and "Hid and Sick" are live staples and should thus be familiar to T.o.N. fans, while tracks "Theanna," and "Your Shroud of Turin" show less-seen sides to the band's sound.

Press:
"Their influences are many and varied, and range across the entire spectrum of music, but their influences and efforts come together to form a melodious and haunting sound, capped off with Robin's beautiful vocals..." -Edwin Somnambulist, Starvox

"Twelfth of Never hail from Central Massachusetts, and their debut CD does manage, in parts, to capture that soft, comforting loneliness of New England's autumn nights..."
-e>david, From Dust 'zine (http://www.fromdust.net/review15.html)
"The songs themselves can best be described as being very dreamlike and unearthly. It's just really great music that takes the mind elsewhere, and if I had to classify it, I'd have to say that it's somewhere along the lines of being Ethereal..." -Peter, The Dwelling (http://www.ganildan.crosswinds.net/atribute.htm)
