"MMIII" is the first release from Portland's Shamelady - made up of five unrelentingly beautiful tracks. The three members of Shamelady write for themselves, first and foremost, bleeding and sweating each note. The result is as believable and as honest as a blade of grass growing through concrete; the dicotomy of natural beauty and man-made hideousness. Differences in personal influences help make this release unmistakably and uniquely Shamelady. Recorded by Andrew Gormley of Playing Enemy (formerly of Kiss It Goodbye and Rorchach) this ep is heavy on all ranges. With pummeling drums, burning guitars, barrelling bass and vocals that would have made E.A. Poe want to cry himself to sleep, "MMIII" is sure to inflict revenge on the half-assed, weekend "hardcore" fan. Fuck all the fake shit and realize that although it will get worse before it gets better - it will get better. Take a chance and be overwhelmed. Shamelady does it right, combining passion and fire with all out abandon.

"This 5 song EP is packed with one pummeling song after another. All the songs on this CD are well rehearsed and as tight as it gets. Crunchy guitars, tricky written math tempos and changes that are very impressive and musicianship that goes above and beyond the call of duty.

If you are like me and have the attention span of a 3 year old kid and dig music that is fit for a musician that likes lots of changes, then definitely do yourself a favor and check out Shamelady. Fans of Dazzling Killmen and Dillenger Escape Plan will absolutely love this album...again, not for the timid." -- Rob Wrong, Stonerrock.com
