well, this cd came about sort of like 4ad's this mortal coil, just a bunch of us from semiretardrecords got together in our new studio and started goofing off with all the effects and stuff, mostly just expirimenting with recording techniques/ wierd effects/ whatever... i've been told it sounds like atari teenage riot in places, I think it sounds like hendrix on some tracks (like his wierd shit at the beginning of electric lady land) we've got some funk in there, some hip-hop influenced beats and shit like that, lots of synthy envelope filter noises and a few really pretty songs, too... sounds like big black on a few tracks, i think, too. essentially just goofing off, having fun, whatever... sort of fleshing out our new equipment... not for the unadventurous listener. -sally Check out the artist's website: http://semiretardrecords.tripod.com/simple.htm Track List: 1.
