Damnweevil play a stripped down, ear splitting, rearrange-your-brain cells brand of heavy, doom-sludge. Their music is obscene sonic indulgence; a vicious distillation of their classic metal influences delivered with reverence, intensity and reckless abandon. The group was formed in Oakland, California by ex-Gammera guitarist Eric Demby and drummer Ben James in 2004. The gargantuan bass of James Heaphy and the explosive guitar work of Jason James (Secret Order of Tusk, ex-Greenhouse Effect, brother of Ben) round out their monstrous sound! DAMNWEEVIL join the 'Threading Over Dark' soundtrack! DAMNWEEVIL will be contributing a new song entitled "Pay in Blood" to Writer/Director WILLIAM STECHMAN'S controversial film "Threading Over Dark" (www.enterthedark.net). A dark musical background for an equally dark film, which is based upon a series of true murders which took place in Northern California in the mid-1990's. Damnweevil joins another Nor-Cal metal band The Abominable Iron Sloth in contributing to the film's soundtrack, also produced by Stechman, which will consist of entirely Northern California bands.
