Jimmie's Chicken Shack started playing clubs and fire halls in their hometown of Annapolis after the demise of Jimi Haha's previous band, Ten Times Big. This is the very first CD of the from this combo from Annapolis, MD, recorded on a shoestring budget and self-released. After garnering a huge local following, starting their own label (Fowl) and releasing two CD's (2 for 1 Special and Giving Something Back), the Shack signed with Elton John's now-defunct label, Rocket, in 1996. The Shack is currently supporting Bring Your Own Stereo, which spawned the hit single "Do Right." The band describes their sound as "mutt rock," meaning they breed rock, pop, hip-hop, punk, and some funk into one glorious hybred.
