Los Angeles-based i found god was formed in 1993, playing its first show at The Whisky in August of that year. Blending a heavy, guitar-based sound with soulful, raw female vocals -- imagine Janis Joplin preaching at the altar of Soundgarden to the chorus of Smashing Pumpkins. i found god has consistently sought to maintain a strong musical identity and has committed itself to the do-it-yourself work ethic of indie pioneers Sonic Youth and Fugazi. You may have seen or heard i found god up on the big screen and on TV. The band has had 2 songs on "The Young and the Restless," 1 song in "Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers," plus 4 songs and a cameo in the ABC movie of the week "The Devils Child," starring Kim Delany.
