Hognose was conceived at the end of a dirt road out in the Texas hill country in the fall of 2001. Since then, these four veterans of the Austin music scene have shared the stage with some of the finest rock bands in the country, including Texas legends Speedealer, Dixie Witch, and Honky. In November of 2002, Hognose played the Third Annual Stoner Hands of Doom Festival, a three-day hard rock event in Phoenix, Arizona that featured bands from all over the globe. Essentially a heavy, riff-driven rock band, Hognose carries on in the tradition of Black Sabbath, ZZ-Top, and the Melvins, combining fat overdriven fuzz with enough good 'ol weirdness to keep it interesting.
