The band Coma was formed in the late summer of 2000. After several bands, lead vocalist Chris Petrino and bassist Jeff Lavery relocated to California and Florida to start their own projects. After several attempts, but not finding the right members, they headed back to the Boston area to regroup and form their band together. With a couple of line up changes and several rehearsal spaces the band settled on it's current members: lead vocalist Chris Petrino, bassist Jeff Lavery, guitarist Denis Comier, and drummer Max Beach. The style of music goes from blistering heavy to hypnotic grooves.

Vocalist Chris Petrino's style varies from song to song. Going from a raspy midrange scowl to trance setting melodic tones. His vocals capture you to listen and understand every word he is saying. His lyrics range from love to hate, dying young to immortality, anxiety to trance. He sets a mood and delivers a powerful aggression. With a lot to say, he spills his guts in his music.

Guitarist Denis Comier's talent rings out in every note he plays. His riffs are from the heart, yet heavy as hell. With a style ranging from an almost Sabbath tones to new metal crunch, his playing makes you want to move. He delivers a guitar sound with the force of a freight train. With memorable leads and heavy grooves Denis's guitar playing is sure to stir up strong notability.

Coma's rhythm section is its pride and joy. With Max Beach beating his drums like he hates them (this kid hits hard) and bassist Jeff Lavery delivering a solid low end groove this gives Coma its foundation to deliver a sound like no other band of it's kind.

The band Coma has been hiding for the past year and a half writing and developing their own style. After just finishing their self titled four song EP they are eager to unleash on the world. With high energy, extreme aggression, and a vast hunger, Coma is a force not to be reckoned with. This band is sure to blow up big! So get their CD now and be sure not to miss them live. Not only will you leave their show exhausted, but you will also leave a fan.

We are currently being shoped and are now back in the studio recording another six song's for various labels.
