GRAVESTONE´s fifth album "Back to attack" is a little more epic than its predecessor "Victim of chains". Because "Doomsday" (1979) and "War" (1980) are seldomly mentioned by the band, the press often speaks of "Back to attack" as GRAVESTONE´s second album. This may be wrong, but from metallian viewpoints it surely is their second really interesting work. Because of its predecessor´s success, a CD-version was produced of "Back to attack", which is very rare today; in those days it certainly was unique for a metal-band to release an album on CD. I think I don´t have to say anything about "I love the night", because every metal-fan will know this song. A further highlight is the gloomy "You are the sun". Even if this album doesn´t consist only of "masterpieces", it still is an adequate appetizer for the magnificent following album "Creating a monster" (1986). Sadly, the band´s final work "Some like it hot" from 1990 never reached this high standard. But when this highly commercial album was released under the new bandname 48 CRASH, one of Germany´s best metal-bands had already ceased to exist. (Stefan Riermaier, March 2005)
