----------------------- REVIEWS -------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------

- "...when you hold your breath for over two minutes when listening to the virtuous harmony guitar leads and stunning solos in "Sergeant at Arms," then you recognize the timelessness of this material." - Edge of Time

- "Full Moon produces traditional hard rock with a touch of vintage Riot on "Rock City", mixed with Left End and Visitor, with a touch of Lizzy. The band has really incorporated the twin-guitar concept and the down to earth Les-Paul-through-Marshall-sound. Singer Joseph Fisher has a melodic and pretty "nice" voice. A really good record in the midpaced hard rock lane." - Bright Eyes Magazine

- "Here is a very simple one. The majority of this cd is the 1980 self-titled album by PA's FULL MOON. In short, for those who worship UFO, Winterhawk and any hard rock, it is without question, one of the absolute greatest (and most obscure!) releases ever. Some of the most memorable, melodic, yet heavy and guitar-drenched epics ever known to man dwell here. In fact, "Winter City" a 9-minute opus, is easily among the most awesome hard rock songs ever recorded. Add to that 5 bonus cuts, of very close proportion, and you've got a completely essential purchase!" - Chaos Realm

----------------------- BIO -------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------

"Full Moon" was formed in 1974 by brothers and guitarists John Fischer and Joseph Fischer, in a town called Hummelstown Pennsylvania. Adding musicians Joe Wilhelm on bass guitar, and Kyle Alan Hetzel on drums, the band stayed together until 1984.

The bands sound was distinctive in their use of harmony lead guitars produced by a straight forward "Les Paul through Marshall Amps" set up.

Full Moon was, from the beginning all about original songs. The brothers John and Joseph wrote all the material, and the tight unit of friends that made up the band created a special bond. The band began playing the usual gigs (schools, bars..) early on, but what was unusual was that the average age of the members at the time the first album was written and recorded was age 19.

The album "Full Moon" was prepared in 1979, and recorded in 1980 in an old movie theater in Marietta, Pa. Interestingly, the theater burned to the ground after the album was recorded there. The songs, and particularly the guitars are a great example of the late 70's euro-metal sound that "Full Moon" made their own.

At that time the album was released regionally, and did well for the band. Joseph, John, Joe and Alan went into the studio again in 1981. The result was a 45 single, "Cross Country Man", b/w "State of the Artist", and at this point the band was at the top of their game. Constant touring resulted, as well as opening for many national acts in concert situations.

Surviving the late 70's, but too soon for the mid 80's metal scene, Full Moon disbanded.

Enter Monster Records. After several years of collectors attempting to reach the Fischer brothers for copies of the original "Full Moon" album, there were simply no copies left.

Monster Records now releases this CD reissue of the original "Full Moon" album, along with "Cross Country Man" and "State of the Artist", the original 45 single. In addition this CD contains 3 never before released tracks from the 1981 "single" sessions. "Are You Free", "No Chance I'll Change", and "Were Almost There" are released for the first time.

This CD perfectly captures Full Moon in a great hard rock time period. Classics from the "Full Moon" album such as "Seargent at Arms", "Night Calls", "Every Man", and the epic "Winter City" shows how it was done before the 80's metal scene.
