MULE SHOE is a Classic Heavy Rock Band in the vein of such greats as Van Halen, Ozzy and Led Zeppelin. But while their hats are tipped to their influences, the members of MULE SHOE are definitely forging ahead with a sound all their own. "New Classic" is a good description. The band is comprised of: - Dan Howard: vocals, lead/rhythm guitar - Chris Streifel: lead/rhythm guitar - Jake Yake: bass - Connor Robinson: drums All the members of MULE SHOE are professional musicians with years of experience gigging regularly in cover bands, as well as writing and recording music. In addition to their efforts with MULE SHOE, Dan, Chris and Connor are full-time music instructors. When the members of MULE SHOE came together, it was simply with the intention of putting together a hot cover band. Before long, however, the band began developing a loyal following of fans who were so blown away by their choice of cover tunes( everything from B.B. King to Iron Maiden! )that they began asking "Where are the originals? You guys should have your own CD!" So the band started working originals into their sets. People were soon requesting the originals more than the covers, and thus began the move toward recording "PILES OF ROCK". MULE SHOE held a CD Release Concert in their hometown of Medicine Hat, Alberta on Dec.11th/'04 to great success, and already has songs written for their next release!
